Lisa J. Charles

Lisa J. Charles is a lifelong Virgin Islander, public servant, community advocate, mother, and woman of faith who has dedicated nearly 30 years to serving the people of the Virgin Islands.

Her professional experience spans government, healthcare, human services, education, financial services, and community outreach. She currently serves as Assistant Director of the Homemaker Services Program within Senior Citizens Affairs, working to ensure seniors receive essential support that helps them maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life.

Lisa's commitment to service extends well beyond her professional responsibilities. Through Hands In Service (HIS) and other community outreach efforts, she has helped coordinate food distributions and connect churches, families, seniors, and individuals in need with resources and assistance. She believes community service is not something reserved for election season; it is a responsibility demonstrated through consistent action, compassion, and a willingness to help wherever there is a need.

Lisa holds a Bachelor of Science in Office Management from Atlantic Union College, an MBA in Healthcare Management from the University of Phoenix, and is a Certified Public Manager through the University of the Virgin Islands.

As a candidate for the 37th Legislature, Lisa is focused on three priorities: improving the quality of life for seniors, improving access to healthcare, and increasing opportunities and development for our youth. She advocates for stronger senior support, better access to affordable and dependable healthcare, and expanded pathways for young Virgin Islanders through education, skilled trades, mentorship, career development, and entrepreneurship.

Lisa believes leadership is demonstrated through service and results. She is committed to bringing the same compassion, work ethic, and community-centered approach that have guided her service into the Legislature.
